Set up the WhatsApp order handoff
Route a submitted order summary to the correct business WhatsApp number and preview the customer message.
Before configuring WhatsApp, make sure your form shows the correct products, total, and customer details. The message should summarize an order the customer has already reviewed.
Start a WhatsApp form
From WhatsApp form, choose Try it free. The chooser asks How do you want to use WhatsApp? Select Connect your Google Forms to WhatsApp, Convert your menu to a WhatsApp form, or Enter your form name, depending on your starting material. Review the resulting products and questions before configuring the handoff.
Configure the submit action
- Open the form in Edit and open the settings for its submit action.
- Choose Submit response to WhatsApp.
- In Route to this number, enter the business number with its international country code, beginning with
+. - Open WhatsApp message if you want to customize the prepared text. Keep the order summary and any instruction to press Send.
- Save the settings and preview the form.
Use a number the business monitors. A customer's contact-number field and the business destination are different pieces of information.
Optional dynamic routing
The submit settings also provide Dynamic routing → Get number from this form field. Use this only when the selected field supplies the intended receiving number. Check every route you expose; an incorrect value can send customers toward the wrong conversation.
Preview the message
Complete a small order and inspect the prepared message before sending. Confirm the product names, quantities, amount, customer details, and destination. Repeat on the devices your customers use.
Older Google Forms instructions may refer to WhatsTarget and Configure WhatsApp Number. Those describe an add-on workflow. Use the controls above when working in the managed Neartail editor, and follow the add-on's instructions only when using that add-on.
Continue with the customer flow and keeping the order record.
