Mobile app and community announcements

Understand how business announcements and the community page relate to the Neartale mobile experience.

Neartail's website resources describe a companion Neartale mobile experience for customer updates and conversations. A community page can display business announcements and replies alongside the website's forms and product information.

Use announcements for business updates

An announcement can introduce a menu, explain a collection change, or share a promotion. Keep the action explicit: include the current ordering link when you want customers to place an order.

Where the community announcement editor is available, enter a clear title and description. You can add a thumbnail image or a YouTube video, and the editor can publish an announcement as a separate page. Review the public audience indicated in the editor before publishing business information.

The announcement and the order are separate records. A reply asking for a meal does not automatically become an order with quantities, a total, and fulfillment details. Direct customers to the appropriate form for structured orders.

Understand customer delivery

The existing app workflow describes notifications to customers using the Neartale app. Customers viewing a website page and customers receiving an app notification are not necessarily the same audience. Do not rely on an announcement as the only channel for an urgent change to an accepted order.

Start with the website

Review your website's available community controls and the existing mobile app resources. Contact support for the current app access and setup appropriate to your business.

For most ordering tasks, customers can continue using the public form in their browser. See sharing a form and Website builder to provide a clear route without requiring every customer to use the app.
