Order numbers and reorder links

Give customers a useful reference and an easy route to place another order.

An order number helps your team find a submission quickly. A reorder link helps a customer return to the ordering flow without searching for the original menu message.

Include a reference

The calculation runtime supports ORDERID() and RESPONSEID() for a submission reference. Use the appropriate field or notification placeholder offered by the editor instead of inventing a reference manually for every email.

Add the reference to the confirmation subject or body using the @ field or function picker. Confirm the delivered value with a submitted example; a draft preview may not have the same submission context as a completed order.

Find the same order

Check that the customer receipt and Responses refer to the same submission. Ask customers for that reference when they contact you about a pickup time or correction.

The identifier is a lookup aid. Treat a new submission as a separate order even when the same customer orders twice.

In the confirmation email editor, use the supported reorder-link option or link insertion for your form. The existing Neartail resource covers adding a reorder link.

Tell customers that a new order uses the current offer and prices. For changing weekly menus, do not promise that every item from the previous order remains available.

Review the customer path

Send an example confirmation to yourself, open the reorder link, and check the selected form and current menu. Review whether the link carries previous answers and which details customers must confirm.

Use availability and ordering deadlines to keep repeat ordering consistent with the current cycle.
