Reports and exports
Filter orders, choose useful columns, and export Neartail reports for business operations.
Reports turn submitted answers into a table or grouped view your team can use. Open the form's Responses area and choose a report from the view menu.
Choose the report
Use Google Sheets for a general response table. Other views include grouping by status or email and traffic-source reporting. Ordering forms also provide product and customer views for preparation and sales analysis.
Select a report suited to the question: “How many meals should we prepare?” differs from “What belongs in each customer's bag?” Use production and packing for those outputs.
Filter the working set
Check the report's date range and search controls before using its totals. Choose the ordering week, pickup day, or relevant status for the work. Exclude abandoned or unrelated orders from preparation counts.
The report toolbar includes the date range, layout control, search, and an edit pencil. Use the pencil or New report to select columns and a layout.
Create a report for recurring work
- Choose New report in the Responses view menu.
- Enter Name the report and choose the reporting period, then select Next.
- Under Customize columns for the report, expand the column groups and select the fields your team needs. Choose Next.
- Under Choose to organize the report, select Table, Nested table, or Matrix.
- Choose Finish and check the resulting rows and totals against a known order.
Start with a table when you need one row per response. Use grouped layouts when the available fields support the breakdown you need. Give the report a specific name, such as “Friday pickup orders,” so staff can return to the same working view.
Export or print
Open the report's ⋮ menu for options such as Export to CSV, Download as PDF, Show/Hide columns, and period changes. Choose an output that preserves the details the recipient needs.
A CSV is useful for spreadsheet work. A PDF or printed list is useful for a kitchen or packing station. Check a sample row, the date range, and totals in the output before sharing it with staff.
Link a report to Sheets
The Google Sheets view has a Link to Sheets action. This is distinct from linking the underlying Google Form to a response spreadsheet. See Google Forms and Sheets to choose the intended data path.
Keep operational reports clear
Use product quantities for preparation and customer-level details for packing. A sales amount does not tell the kitchen how many portions to make. For recurring weekly work, keep a report with a consistent layout and update its date or selection for the current cycle.
