Product and category pages
Keep website product information consistent with the menu and options customers can order.
Product and category pages help visitors browse before ordering. Your primary order form remains the place to check the products, options, prices, and availability that determine what a customer can submit.
Prepare a clear catalog
Group related products into useful categories, such as Lunch, Sides, and Drinks. Give each product a recognizable name, an accurate image, a price or pricing basis, and enough description to choose it.
For a food menu, explain portions, ingredients, or dietary details you can substantiate. A description such as “500 g family portion” is more useful than an attractive image with no indication of size.
Update a product
- Open the primary form and update the product and options.
- Review its category, price, description, and availability.
- Open the website editor and inspect the corresponding product page. Use the page's editing controls for website presentation where available.
- Preview the public product page and continue into ordering.
- Confirm the intended variant and quantity produce the expected amount.
Rotate a menu
When an item is temporarily unavailable, use the appropriate product availability control rather than only changing its promotional text. Verify that customers cannot still select it through a direct form link.
After replacing a primary form or changing categories, review navigation and checkout again. Existing shared product links may lead customers into a different part of the offer than your home page suggests.
See checkout for the final catalog-to-order check.
