Set up automated card payments
Connect an available card provider, select the form amount, and review the customer checkout and payment record.
Automated card collection sends the customer to a connected payment provider and records the payment result. Neartail's payment configuration supports a provider setup rather than collecting card details in an ordinary form question.
Before you begin
Have a form with a correct amount field, a supported currency, and access to the business payment account. Provider availability and onboarding depend on the business's country and account eligibility.
Enable card collection
- Open your form in the Neartail editor and open its Payments configuration.
- If payments are disabled, choose Enable beside Do you want to collect payment?
- Follow the payment configuration to select an available automated card method and connect the business account. Complete account verification with the provider when requested.
- Select the amount the form should collect, then save the configuration.
- Preview the customer payment step. Check the business identity, currency, and amount.
Do not ask customers to type their card number into a short-answer question. The provider's checkout handles the payment details.
Review the result
Use the provider's supported test facility where available before opening the form to customers. Check the corresponding payment record; opening checkout alone does not establish that a payment completed.
An older configuration may show Pick amount from, Modify, and a Migrate option. Keep its selected amount field intact while reviewing a migration. If you are unsure which configuration your existing form uses, ask support before changing a form that is collecting payments.
For customers who cannot use the automated method, consider manual instructions or pay later if those options suit your process.
