Reports and pick & pack

Use Sales by product to see what to make, Pick & pack to see who gets what, and custom reports for everything else.

Quick Answer

How do I see how much of each product to make in Neartail?

Open a form's Orders tab and choose Sales by product. It lists each product with its order count, quantity sold, and amount for the selected date range. Choose Pick & pack report to break that down by customer. Set the date range to your ordering period, then print or export the result.

Open your form's Orders tab. Reports are the tabs along the top.

Don't see Sales by product?

These reports need a form with more than one product and a currency. Forms created from Neartail's creation pages had them in our tests. One form we made with an AI tool outside those pages only had Responses by status and by email. See Troubleshooting.

See what to make

Sales by product adds up each product across orders.

2 SUM of Quantity sold is what you need to make. The numbers here are examples.
ColumnMeaning
ProductThe product name
UNIQUE Orders countHow many orders include it
SUM of Quantity soldThe total to prepare
SUM of AmountThe money from that product
Lineitems countHow many order lines it appears on

See what to pack

Pick & pack report groups each product by customer.

Each product lists 2 who ordered it and how much. The rows here are examples.

Use it to pull each product from your prep area and put it in the right bag.

Set the date range

The arrows at the top move between periods, and reports show that period only. Before you trust a total, check that:

  • The range covers your whole ordering period.
  • Orders from other collection days aren't included.

A report for Oct 25 – Oct 31 won't show an order from Nov 1, even if it's for the same delivery.

The ⋮ at the top right of a report has Export to CSV, Download as PDF, Show/Hide columns, Conditional formatting, Add collaborator, Make a copy, and the choice of Weekly, Monthly, or Yearly periods.

A PDF suits a kitchen wall, and a CSV suits a spreadsheet. Check one sample page before you print them all.

The Google Sheets view

One row per order. 1 Send it to a spreadsheet, 2 change the period, or 3 search, edit, and export.

This shows one row per order: the order number, date, status, week, month, amount, quantity, and customer's answers. It doesn't have a column for each product, so use Sales by product to count products.

Link to Sheets is covered in Google Sheets.
