Manage orders

Work through orders on the Kanban board, add your own stages, and print, edit, or trash an order.

Quick Answer

Where do I see and manage orders in Neartail?

Open a form's Orders tab, then Kanban board. New orders appear in Submitted. Select a card to see the products, total, and customer details, then use Move to or drag the card to change its stage. Add stages such as Preparing with the Status button. The ⋮ menu on an order prints, edits, or trashes it.

Open your form and select Orders. The tabs across the top are different views of the same orders.

If you see Responses instead of Orders, and no sales reports, see Troubleshooting.

Use the board

1 Open the board. 2 Each card shows the order number, customer, and amount. 3 Add your own stages.

The columns are stages in your own process:

ColumnMeaning
AbandonedThe customer started but never submitted. These aren't orders
SubmittedNew orders to work on
CompletedDone
TrashRemoved orders

The ⋮ on a column has actions for its orders.

Add your own stages

Choose + Status, type a name, and choose Save. Preparing and Ready for pickup are common.

Your stage sits between the fixed ones, which show a pin icon.

A stage is a label for your team. Moving an order doesn't take payment or message the customer unless you've set up a notification.

Open an order

Select any card.

1 Print, edit, or trash the order. 2 Check its emails. 3 Move it to another stage.

You'll see each product with its price and quantity, the total, and the customer's answers. Phone and email are links.

To change the stage, choose it under Move to and select Submit. Add a note in Comments first if your team should see why. Comments form a history at the end of the order.

Edit an order

Open the order

Select its card.

Open the ⋮ menu and choose Edit

Change only what you agreed with the customer.

Save and reopen it

Check the products and total.

Update whatever depended on it

Reprint packing lists, and handle any payment difference with your provider.

To let customers edit their own orders, tick Allow respondent to edit response & participate in workflow in confirmation emails.

Print in the ⋮ menu prints one order. For many orders at once, use a report.

Move to Trash moves it to the Trash column. Trashing doesn't refund a payment.

Find an order

Search in a report, or use Inbox on your dashboard to look across all your forms. If an order seems to be missing, see Troubleshooting.
